Bank of Ireland Helps Banbridge Pupils Tackle CV Skills
Pupils at New-Bridge Integrated College were tackling CV and Interview Skills as part of a workshop provided by Bank of Ireland UK.
Delivered by Bank of Ireland UK’s Community Engagement Team, the students were given practical tips on how to create a great CV as well as learning more about preparing for an interview and techniques for interview questions.
The practical session was followed by an insightful Q&A session with Ulster Rugby’s Stuart McCloskey, Ben Moxham and Robert Baloucoune, who discussed how they build resilience, overcome setbacks and use their professional skills on and off the field.
Speaking about the session, Elisha McNulty, Community Engagement Manager at Bank of Ireland UK said:
“It was great to engage with the students with our CV and Interview Skills workshop designed to help young people gain new skills that will be of help to them in their future endeavours.
Thank you to our partners at Ulster Rugby who brought their insight and expertise to support the students today. There are so many attributes in sport that are vital for personal development, such as teamwork, resilience and communication, and the players really demonstrated in the Q&A session how important those professional skills are, both on and off the field.”
Mrs Anne Anderson, Principal at New-Bridge Integrated College said:
“The session with Elisha and Cathy from Bank of Ireland and the players was superb. I know the students thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and it was a fantastic opportunity for them to think more about their career direction, their professional skills and how to prepare for their life beyond school.
We would like to say a huge thanks to Bank of Ireland and Ulster Rugby for this fantastic opportunity.”
