Bank of Ireland UK relocates Belfast flagship branch
04 December 2019
Bank of Ireland UK is to relocate its flagship branch from Belfast High Street to the Bank’s prominent corner site at 1 Donegall Square South in the centre of Belfast’s business district. The move will take place in Summer 2020.
William Thompson, Head of Consumer Banking NI said: “We are delighted to be making the move to what we believe is both a favourable and popular location. The decision to relocate our Belfast High Street branch reflects the shift we have seen in customer footfall over the last number of years and it’s important that we respond to this and continue to adapt and grow our business in line with it.”
Bank of Ireland UK customers can expect the new Belfast City branch to have a modern, innovative and welcoming look and feel and there will be enough space to host customer, community and business events. The move will also strategically combine the Bank’s retail presence with its Business Banking, Corporate Banking and Support teams in a single location, providing a highly-modern, collaborative environment for customers, colleagues and communities.
William Thompson: “We are committed to providing our customers with the right balance between a great digital service, a physical presence and face-to-face contact and to that end our branches continue to be an important part of our customer offering.
“We will be writing to our High Street customers and I hope they will share our excitement about our new flagship branch. We look forward to welcoming and assisting customers in the new branch next year”.
All the staff currently employed at the High Street branch will re-locate to the new branch and opening hours will remain the same.
