Check your text service

Criminals try to trick people into divulging personal and financial details through text messages. If you receive a text message claiming to be from Bank of Ireland UK you can use our ‘Check your text’ Service to check if the text is genuine.

Criminals can send text messages that appear within a genuine thread of Bank of Ireland UK text messages, so don’t assume that every text message that appears the Bank of Ireland UK thread is genuine. We will never send you a text with a link asking you to share your log in details such as your PIN or one-time passcodes. Please refer to our Gallery of phishing and smishing examples to see examples of Bank of Ireland UK smishing text messages.
